Movies!
A Training Kit for Teachers

“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune”
(Jim Rohn quotes)
“A child miseducated is a child lost”
(John F. Kennedy)

In our short life, each and every process of learning starts with just the two words, i.e. ‘don't know’. This negative phrase is turned to a positive one by a person who works from the heart and melts down himself to give light to others – The Teacher.
As we know our parents are our first teachers and from them we can rightly say that the teaching is a profession of those who have great patience. But we know that our parents are not professional teachers.
So, the real teachers are like our secondary parents or our parents in the society as they are the responsible persons in the society whose efforts affect the fate of the society or entire world.
Teachers are not there to give us boring lectures, advices etc but they are there to  make us aware of the subjects that we need to study, helps us to build the behavior patterns and manners, mentor us and guide us in the life of tomorrow and to the extreme, touch our hearts and souls.
We know that teaching is the profession that educates all the other professions and what the teacher is, is more important than what he teaches.
The main task of a good teacher is to activate an ordinary person to do some extra-ordinary work and it is true that what a teacher writes on the blackboard of life can never be erased.
So, the teachers are more to be honored than parents as parents give life, but the teachers teach us how to live that life more effectively.
I really believe that ‘the greatest act of teaching is where you keep building them up even though they keep knocking you down’. Also, ‘you can teach better with your example than by your words’.
Friendship in Teacher –Student relation is one of the most discussed topics nowadays. The new generation of students needs more freedom and free interaction from their teachers. It’s true that we can allow freedom to a certain extend but always remember that ‘freedom and respect are two ends of the same rope’.
If more freedom is given, it results in real troubles; the same which is happening in every family nowadays.
As every family is a nuclear one having only one or two children, they get more freedom from their parents which washes out the importance of the word RESPECT from every aspect of life; even they forget to respect themselves and their life.
So, it’s the duty of the teachers to make the students aware of the importance of their life and their existence.
All of us know that behind every step of success in life, there exists a huge amount of rigorous hard work, not merely friendship. For such hard work and success, stringent principles are required and must be followed and implemented strictly without emotions.

My principle is entirely different, may be it seems to be strict but it is not STRICT but “STICK ON” (called in short form as “SO”) to the principles, rules, regulations, boundaries put forwarded by authorities or predecessors or by our self for achieving an aim or goal or just to become a good citizen for our society.
Nowadays, no person is getting enough experience in his/her life  to perform the real duties of a teacher since they are new ones coming to the profession at the initial stage of their life; just after completing their studies i.e. at a much younger stage having just an year or two difference (older) with their students.
Here comes the importance of my view i.e. the movies can make a perfect teacher; also a perfect student.
A motivating or an inspirational teacher can make a difference or change in a student’s life. Apt guidance and support will be provided at the crucial moment of his life.
There are a lot of films which are based on school as well as college campuses, classrooms, playgrounds, academics, sports etc. These films show us how a simple person i.e. the teacher, can mould the young dynamic minds to achieve things that were not even in their dreams!!!
Also, save the institution and the good students from the degrading atmosphere existing in the campus by changing the wrong going ones to the right path (both students and colleagues), although there exist a lot of ‘opposition’ from students, superiors, authorities, colleagues, parents, political leaders, societies etc.

Always remember one thing about the teacher: “Don't take them for granted”.
Here I am giving a list of films that inspired me and I believe that it will inspire all and will become a training kit for a good teacher since “I don't think great teachers make a difference  ... I know it...”
