“AarOh’11 became a true Arrow”

 AarOh’11
"A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on."
- John F. Kennedy

This became almost true in my life. The ‘Aaroh’ hit me on the chest, right at the heart itself……..

The things were like this…..

I was a Guest Lecturer at the College of Engineering, Adoor and the present S6 EC students were my first professional students for my noble profession of teaching. Although, I taught them (more than 120 students), only for a period of 2 months, they are my lovable students and some of them were continuously in contact with me. They informed me about the tech fest that they are going to conduct at their college. I extended the full support that I can and I got the, mail about the events and I forwarded it to my students at Caarmel. Some of the students of Caarmel got individual mails from the Adoor Students as they were personally known to each other(I have took 30 students, now s6 & s4, of Caarmel  from different branches for an IEEE meeting and coordinated about 16-20 students for another IEEE workshop at Adoor Engg. College).
The s4 student Job John James came to me one day saying that there is an interesting programme in the tech fest in which they like to participate. I told him to get me the details of the same. He availed me with the details and I was so excited about the programme that I told him to make a team with students from all branches.

The programme was : Best Engineer
“This is an online event. The students from various colleges will have to make a team(Which is called Companies), Each companies will have a CEO(Group Leader). We will be uploading a task in our website, companies have to finish the task within least time and with at most accuracy. For that they can use all the recourses that they have. Event is planned to organize in a auditorium of college. This is maily focused to find out the Best TEAM WORKERS of tomorrow. The best team will be selected and their strategies and ideas will be rewarded.” - Coordinator Aaroh’11

The team included the following students :
1.      Job John James, s4 EEE, Caarmel Engineering College
2.      Rakhi P. A., s4 EEE, Caarmel Engineering College
3.      Rahul. V. R, s4 EC, Caarmel Engineering College

(On Saturday and Sunday, as per the information from Adoor students, I informed Arun Suresh,  Gireesh, both S6 EEE,  Shima, S8 EEE, Mohammed Shiyas, Sujith Jose, S4 Mech about a project exhibition contest at the Adoor tech fest.)

Then, I told each of them to get permission from the respective HoDs and then Principal.

On 01-03-2011, I took an emergency leave as my mother needs to consult doctor as she was having a severe back pain and leg pain. Since she was alone & weak, I need to accompany her. After taking her back home, I reached Adoor Engg. College at about 12 noon, as there was a special invitation from my former students of Adoor and from my friends (faculties there) as well.

I spent my time till evening there, and came back along with Sachin of S4 civil after coordinating the transportation arrangement for my girl students and the boy students from hostel.

Students confirmed me that they reached hostel safely before 7 pm.
